US diplomatic property in Moscow may be seized if Washington doesn’t hand back two diplomatic compounds in the United States before July, according to a new report.
In December Pres. Obama ordered the expulsion of 35 Russians due to their part in the election meddling, and at the time, authorities confiscated two Russian diplomatic compounds, one on New York’s Long Island and another in Maryland.
Russia has denied the meddling allegations but said it would wait and see if their relationship improved under President Trump.
Kommersant who wrote the report said that Russia allegedly plans to retaliate by confiscating the US diplomatic country house in northwest Moscow and another US diplomatic warehouse in Moscow if the property is in return by July.
